Looking for a new great title to tackle LOTS of feelings and coping skills? Want to win a copy? Head over to my IG or FB page for your chance to win a copy of “Felix and the Feelings Formula” by Katie Bartelin National Center For Youth Issues.

Felix has a formula for everything. Thanks to the formulas he can cope with any situation until he doesn’t have just the right formula! He realizes he has to use flexible thinking to create a new formula that will help him make a new friend.

Here is what I love about this book!

  • it’s written in a way that made me immediately think of Dan Siegel’s “Name It To Tame It” strategy. Each formula not only helps Felix identify and name if feelings but then directs him on how to cope or “tame it.” You can learn more about “Name It To Take It” here.
  • Each formula includes a positive affirmation. I really enjoyed this tangible strategy that incorporates mindfulness.
  • Depending on how you want to use this book this can be a pro or con. The book includes a variety of feelings and doesn’t focus on just one.
  • It works perfectly with my “Feelings Formulas” worksheets.
